Leaders of Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray Jammu and Kashmir unit have appealed to
removal of restrictions cap on the number of pilgrims to visit Shri Mata Vaishnodevi along with
the resumption of pony, pittu and palanquin services.

Party State President Manish Sahni along with General Secretary Vikas Bakshi and working president Ashwani Gupta met the CEO of Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine Board, Ramesh Kumar and appealed for the restoration of the above demands and also sent a memorandum to the Honorable Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.


Sahni said that the tourism business of Jammu and Katra is largely dependent on the Mata Vaishnodevi Yatra and during the holy Navratras, a large number of devotees from other states visit to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. He said that restriction cap to visit SMVD from outside the state should be removed immediately. Sahni also appealed the resumption of pony, pittu and palanquin services. He said that due to the temporary ban on these services, hundreds of people have become unemployed and it has become difficult for them to feed their family and pets. He said that these services should be restored following the Covid-19 Guide line.


Sahni also demanded the provision of counter registration for pilgrims in Jammu & Katra.
Along with this, Sahni consulted CEO Ramesh Kumar on all the essential services for the traditional 38th holy Chhari Yatra to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi on the eve of Ist Navratra , Ramesh Kumar assured to provide all possible services and ensure fully support on the above demands. On this occasion secretary Raj Singh and Sanjeev Sudan were also present.
