The grandiose Navaratri celebrations at St. Mary’s Infant Pre School aimed at cognizing the students about the Indian cultural heritage, came to a crescendo with a Dandiya Do that soaked the entire vicinity in the festal euphoria and turned on the exhilarating festive spirit amongst the tiny tots. Swishing and clanking of Dandiya sticks by the swivelling dancers on the toe tapping music marked the glorious spree which witnessed lively participation by multitude of students and staff members who were adorned in colourful and traditional fineries.
The fervour of Navratri festival reverberated in the school campus which had come alive with the presence of little lads and lasses bubbling with zest. The two sticks of Dandiya kept the infants captivated with myriad promises of fun, frolic and dance. Soon after the prayers, the lilliputians were ready to break into music and dance.
It was a fabulous spectacle of colours, music and groove all around as soon as the melodies began. The tiny tots adorably imitated their teachers’ garba moves and swayed on the music in circles while clicking sticks to the thumping beats as the music smoothly flowed from one song to another. The jollity kept the radiant and enchanting revellers constantly on their toes.
Happiness resonated in every step as students and teachers danced together during the rapturous event. The children’s joy knew no bounds when the Chairperson and the Principal of the school joined them in the jamboree and danced away to the Dandiya beats.
At the culmination of the cultural fiesta, students were offered various refreshments which they thoroughly relished. Apart from being a celebration of traditional splendour, the occasion also strengthened the bond of love among the members of the school community. The exuberance that the beatific event brought on the faces of tiny tots was truly a sight to behold.
