They have also spoken of the role of China in settling the Kashmir issue.
Asked about this, Home Minister refused to comment.
“ I do not want to comment on such statements. It’s not that easy to get support from China. But I would like to say that people across the country as well as Jammu and Kashmir are happy after the abrogation of Article 370. All those claims about violence and deaths have fallen flat, everything is fine, development is taking place. Everyone is getting social welfare benefits and Panchayat elections are being held.”
On conditions at LAC in eastern Ladakh: “The condition is good. No one can capture even one inch of India’s land. The topmost priority of the Narendra Modi government is the protection of India’s borders.
On Pakistan: “Our intelligence agencies are working efficiently. The Narendra Modi government has exposed Pakistan at an international level. That is why even after the abrogation of Article 370, except one of two countries, no one came forward in Pakistan’s support.”
