Udhampur Sept 15: Captain Tushar Mahajan trust has expressed gratitude to the Centre’s and UTs govt of J&K decision for renaming Udhampur Railway Station after Martyr captain Tushar.

Trust today held a press conference here in which Chairman and father of martyr along with other members shown their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath singh, Minister of Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw ,Union Minister of state Dr Jatinder Singh, Lt Governor Manohj Sinha and all those from political or social organization s who supported our cause especially centre and UT government for giving sanction to rename railway station after Tushar.

Those who were present on the occasion were mother of martyr Asha Gupta, Kalpans Jamwal.Kamakshi jamwal, Dr Yogeshwar Gupta, Shewatketu Singh. Ranjit Parihar,Adv Karun Raina, Deepanker Gupta, Satish Chopra and Vikas manhas.

Speaking on the occasion trust chairman Dev Raj Gupta said, “We are highly thankful and welcome centers and UT governments decision for full filling trust long pending demand which was also aspirations of the people of Udhampur.

“It was a long standing demand of Udhampur. We sincerely thank Dr Jitendra Singh for taking up the matter with the Centre,” he added .We are aware that it wouldn’t bring back Captain Tushar but it will help in keeping his story alive as a constant reminder for people across the length and breadth of India. Those who would visit this town in Jammu and Kashmir would know how selflessly a young man laid down his life for them, the motherland and that he didn’t give it a second thought but fought for the pride of his nation by taking several bullets so bravely.

Trust members Shewatketu singh and Ranjit Parihar said Renaming of public place after martyrs like Tushar’s will act as motivation for not only the present generation but for endless generations to follow who can derive inspiration from his sacrifice and that our children be nurtured with the supreme fact that India is our pride.
