Srinagar, April 10: Jammu and Kashmir police today arrested two women drug peddlers and recovered Marijuana from their possession in Baramulla.

These women were arrested near roads and building department office in the town.

Giving details, police said that acting on the information, police arrested two women and during their frisking around 200 gms of Marijuana (Charas) was recovered from their possession. “These women belong to Dewanbagh area of Baramulla. They were identified as Shakeela Begum wife of Bashir Sheikh and Muskaan Jan wife of Irfan Sheikh,” police said.

A case under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered against the duo and both are under custody at Baramulla police station.

Locals appreciated the action and appealed to the police to name and shame all the drug peddlers.
