F’RARI GIRAFTARI, drive against underground criminals & absconders, Reasi Police steering ahead in its mission against outlaws who are evading arrests since years, in another round of chase, raids & searches, multiple teams of Reasi Police arrested 21 more absconders evading arrests since years and executed 35 Warrants in last four week. 100 absconding criminals which includes 04 OGW’s, 10 Surrendered millitants, 05 murder and attempt to murdere accused, 19 were involved in Kidnapping and Rape, 09 were involved in drug peddling and 53 were involved in other offences evading arrests since years, are arrested and produced in the concerned courts since since May 2021 and executed 154 General Warrants of Arrest issued by Hon’ble Courts. Out of these 100 absconders 12 arrested after 30 years, 18 after 20 years, 31 apprehended after 10 years and 39 were arrested after 05 years of commission of crime. Meanwhile 10 absconders under pressure of being caught have opted to surrender before the concerned courts of district than being caught by Reasi Police.

accused in attempt to murder-Makhna S/O Baji R/O Thuroo-Arnas wanted in case FIR no 129/98 U/S 307, 148, 149 RPC 4/25 Indian Arms Act, Police Station Arnas arrested by team of Reasi Police after developing a specific information about his presence in Jammu.
General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble court of JMIC Mahore & accused arrested after 23 years of commission of crime.
Surrendered millitant of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen outfit & Absconding Wali Mohd. @ Waliya S/O Allah Din R/O Thuroo Mahore is arrested from Jajnali Pir Panjal Dhok by team of Reasi Police.
Wali Mohd wanted in murder case FIR no. 84/1994 U/S 302, 395, 121, 120-B, 379 RPC 7/25 Arms Act of police station Mahore. To avoid conviction accused evaded trial proceedings and couldn’t be arrested. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Mahore & arrested after 27 years of commission of crime.
Absconding Criminal Abdul Latif S/O Mohd Yousaf R/O Chakras Tehsil Mahore wanted in case
FIR No 207/2002 U/S 307, 120-B, 121-A, 122, 123, RPC, 7/25-26-27 Indian Arms Act, Police Station Mahore arrested after 19 years of commission of crime. Latief is a surrendered militant of his time affiliated with Hizb-ul-Mujahideen outfit later on surrendered before security forces jumped trial proceedings in a proved case and couldn’t be apprehended . A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble JMIC Mahore.

7/27/26 Arms Act of Police Station Mahore is arrested after 20 years of commission of crime.
Gani a millitant of his time, joined Hizb-ul-Mujahideen outfit later surrendered before security forces.
Attempt to murder accused Ranbir Singh @Rana S/O Late Mulkh Raj R/O Bakshi Bihar, Ban Talab, Barnai road Jammu wanted in case FIR no 212/07 U/S 307, 452, 147, 148, 149, 201 RPC, 3/25, 4/25 Arms Act Police Station Katra is arrested on developing a specific information by team of Reasi Police. Accused jumped trial proceedings in a proved attempt to murder & went underground to avoid conviction. For his arrest a General Warrant was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of Sessions Judge Reasi & arrested after 14 years of commission of crime.
Murder Case absconder Sunil Kumar S/O Kewal Krishan R/O Nayal Katra in
FIR no 77/1998 U/S 302, 147, 148 RPC 4/25 Arms Act of Police Station Katra is arrested by team of Reasi Police from Udhampur after hectic efforts. After registration of FIR he went underground and couldn’t be apprehended. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of CJM Reasi & arrested 23 years of commission of crime.
Kidnapping and Rape accused Sher Ali S/O Imam Din R/O TCP Khariyan is arrested by team of Police Station Reasi. Case FIR No.27/2014 U/S 366, 343, 376, 147, 109 RPC Reasi got registered against Sher Ali for Kidnapping and raping a women , during investigations case was proved against him. To avoid conviction he jumped trial proceedings and couldn’t be apprehended. A general Warrant of Arrest was issused against him by Hon’ble CJM Reasi.
Absconding drug peddler Anil Sharma @Annu S/O Tilak Raj R/O Patli Morh Bari Brahmna accused in case Fir no 133/2015 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act of Police station Katra is arrested from Jammu by team of Reasi Police. To avoid conviction in a proved case accused jumped trial proceedings and couldn’t be arrested. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of Sessions Judge Reasi.
Drug peddling case got registered against Ramesh Singh S/O Prem Chand R/O Naror kanth Gali Udhampur and proved during investigation.
Chargesheeted against him produced in case FIR no 25/2011 US 8/20 NDPS Act of Police Station Katra. To avoid conviction accused jumped trial and evaded. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of Sessions Judge Reasi.
Cheating and forgery accused Sudesh Chand @ Shindu S/O Vijay Chand R/O Kunyar Katra is arrested by team of Reasi Police.
FIR no 3/2010 U/S 420, 406, 467, 468, 471, 201 RPC was registered against him and proved during investigation. To avoid conviction accused jumped trial proceedings and couldn’t be apprehended. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of CJM Reasi & arrested after 11 years of commission of crime.
Team of Reasi Police arrested absconder Joginder Singh S/O Puran Singh R/O Ghari Rehmbal Udhampur wanted in case FIR no 3/2010 U/S 420, 468, 471, 201 RPC of Police Station Katra after 11 years of commission of crime. Against him General Warrant of Arrest was issued by Hon’ble court of Session Judge Reasi.

FIR no 108/1990 U/S 452, 354 RPC of Police Station Mahore is arrested by team of Reasi Police. To avoid conviction he jumped trial proceedings and couldn’t be apprehended. A General Warrant of Arrest was issused by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Mahore & arrested after 31 years of commission of crime.
Team of Reasi Police arrested absconding criminal Yashpal S/O Kartar Singh R/O Baldanoo Reasi wanted in case FIR no 58/2009 U/S 382, 336, 427, 341, 323 RPC of police station Reasi. After commission of crime accused went underground & couldn’t be apprehended since last 12 years. A General warrant of arrest was issued by Hon’ble court of CJM Reasi for his arrest.

S/O Ghulam Mohin ud din Baba R/O Behrampora Sopore, special squad of Reasi Police left for Budgam and arrested absconder from Souibugh area of Budgam.

Udhampur absconding in case Fir no 149/1999 U/S 32 T.T.Act of Police Station katra is arrested by team of Reasi Police. To avoid conviction accused jumped trial proceedings and went underground. General Warrant of Arrest was issued for his arrest by Hon’ble Court of munsiff JMIC Katra.
Team of Reasi Police arrested a Theft accused Nirmal Singh S/O Sunit Singh R/O Garnai Lota Udhampur absconding in case FIR No 97/2009 U/S 379 RPC, 3/181 MV Act of Police station Katra. During investigations case was proved and chargesheeted against him, to avoid conviction he jumped trial proceedings and evaded the arrest. General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Katra on 14.08.2014
Team of Reasi Police arrested absconder Shanak Singh S/O Dharma Singh R/O Dhanote Lander Panchairi Udhampur wanted in case FIR no 163/2009 U/S 224 RPC of police station katra after 12 years of commission of crime. Shank Singh couldn’t be apprehended since registration of Case FIR against him in 2009. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Mahore on 12.12.2010

“F’RARI KI GRIFTARI” an initiative of Sh Shailender Singh Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi for arresting the absconders who are evading arrests since years. Under this drive Reasi Police remained successful in nabbing hardcore, notorious & habitual criminals who were evading the due process of law since years and against whom General Warrants of Arrest were issued by Hon’ble Courts were pending.
Singh conveyed that arrests of these criminals is important police work to maintain peace and tranquility in the area and Reasi Police will leave no stone unturned to arrest and produce them in concerned trial court of law.
To proactively tighten noose against the criminals, six months back, District Police Reasi recommended nine cases for cancellation of Gun Licenses with dossiers of history Sheeters of the district. Seven Gun Licenses have been cancelled & two cases are under process.
