Jammu Police achieved a major success in its initiative against vehicles lifters when a team of P/S Janipur recovered 09 Motor cycle stolen from different places and arrested three motor vehicle lifters.
Two complaints regarding Motor Cycle theft had been lodged by Jaspal Singh S/o Jang Bhadur Singh R/o Nanak Nagar Jammu and Vikram Bali S/o Ramesh Bali R/o lower Roop Nagar Janipur Jammu respectively. In this regard, case FIR No. 49/2020 U/s 379 IPC and FIR No. 72/2020 U/s 379 IPC were registered respectively at Police Station Janipur, Jammu.
On this, special teams led by SHO P/S Janipur Inspector Gurmeet Singh swung into action and started all round investigation using all the possible means like Mobile tracking, camera recording of all the routes of Janipur led to rounding up of suspects. On further investigation, the team arrested three persons namely (1). Tufail Hussain @Karroo and @sajjad S/o Modh Sharief R/o Ganjote Mohare, Reasi (2). Fayaz Ahmed @ Sunny S/o Ghulam Nabi R/o Upper Roop Nagar Sec. No 07 (3). Shakeel Ahmed @ Reyan S/o Ali Mohd R/o Bunjwaa Kishtwar A/P Ramzan pura Janipur Jammu. On their disclosure, 02 motor cycles mentioned in the FIR along with 07 other motor cycles were also recovered.
