Jammu, July 27:
In continuation to its drive of stern action against illegal mining, Nagrota police seized 11 vehicles.
As per police sources, in action against mining mafias and to check the violation going on in river Tawi bed area by the mining mafia against the orders of the High Court, teams from Nagrota Police station led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shokat seized 03 dumpers bearing registeration no JK05BX 5978, JK02BP 5778, Jk02CN8778 carrying banned mining material.
Similarly the police led by SHO Jhajjar kotli seized 08 tippers bearing registeration no JK02AU 5047, JK14B 7422, JK14C 1657, JK14C 9867
JK02AU 5167, JK02BK 5857, JK14F 0964 and
JK14C 8733 used for illegal mining and fine on the vehicles was imposed through the geology and mining dept jammu.
The whole drive was carried out under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Sharma.
