In biggest ever spike of positive cases, 132 out of 170 labourers were tested positive at Government Medical College Doda main campus construction site situated at Ghar village of district Doda.
The area has been declared as containment zone by the administration.
Giving details, a health official said that block medical office employees today conducted rapid antigen test at the construction site and all 170 labourers were put through the process. “During the process, 132 labourers out of 170 were tested positive,” he said.
After the news came out, it brought fear among the people of the area and administration declared the construction site as containment zone.
“We have seperated the negative people and kept them at government higher secondary school Ghat whereas positive people have been confined to the construction site only,” said Sameer, an officer of district administration.
