Srinagar, 08, August 2026: At least three personnel of the SSB were injured after three vehicles of the force collided with each other inside a tunnel along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Ramban district on Saturday, officials said.

The accident occurred at Kela Morh when the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) convoy was travelling from Srinagar towards Jammu, officials said.

Quoting initial reports, officials said one of the vehicles abruptly applied the brakes, following which the vehicles behind it collided with each other inside the tunnel.

Three SSB personnel sustained injuries in the accident and were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, they said.

The collision briefly disrupted the movement of traffic on the highway, which was lashed by moderate rains.

Despite the rainfall and the brief disruption caused by the accident, traffic continued to ply on the highway, the only all-weather road connecting Kashmir with the rest of the country, officials said.
