For the first time since abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019, the government on Wednesday revealed total statistics of terrorists killed in encounters with security forces up to January 26, 2022 .
As many as 439 terrorists were killed after the repeal of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. On the other hand, at least 98 civilians & 109 security personnel lost their lives & 541 incidents of terror were reported during this period.
This was informed by MoS Home Nityanand Rai in Rajya Sabha today in a written reply to Rajya Sabha MP Neeraj Dangi.
“541 terror incidents have been registered while 439 terrorists eliminated and 98 civilians lost their lives and 109 Security Forces (SFs) martyred in Jammu and Kashmir after the repeal of Article 370 post-August 5, 2019 till January 26, 2022,” Rai informed the House.
