Jammu, April 24 :
The State government on Tuesday approved 7th pay commission for 4.5 lakh employees of J&K.
The step would benefit the employees and meet their long-pending demand.
The state cabinet met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti who specially flew in from Srinagar to preside over the cabinet meet.
Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh who was in Delhi with regard to talks with the reshuffle of the ministry following resignation of Lal Singh and Chander Prakash Ganga following Rasana rape and murder case , returned this morning to attend the cabinet meeting. Later, he flew back to Delhi in the afternoon to attend the party meeting scheduled to be presided over by BJP chief Amit Shah
