26 October- New Delhi : Former MP and Chairman Uttarakhand War Memorial Tarun Vijay met Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan in his south block office and discussed several matters regarding inauguration of the Memorial in detail.
Gen Chauhan assured all help including setting up a name search app, sending Tanks for the Memorial and other support.
Tarun Vijay said that it’s a matter of honour for every Uttarakhandi to see a great warrior son of Himalaya take up the top position as CDS . Gen Chauhan is a pride of India.
He said the inauguration date will be announced very soon and it will be a grand ceremony befitting the grace of our soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation. He thanked Gen Chauhan for his generous help.
