White Knight Corps celebrated Rajouri Day with characteristic gaiety and fervor. GOC White Knight Corps paid tributes to the War Heroes and was joined by senior military dignitaries of Ace of Spades Division, Mr Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri and other eminent personalities from civil administration, political and social strata in laying wreath at the famous Gujjar Mandi Chowk of the town.

Myriad cultural programmes including colorful display of ethnic kaleidoscope of the region by the children of Valley View Army Public School, Army Goodwill Public School and National Public School was on show. The event also showcased the martial dance of ‘Gataka’ performed by the Sikh troops, Para Motor display, Equestrian Show Jumping, Dog Show, Pipe Band Display & Sky Diving display by the Special Forces. The Chief Guest also felicitated the Veer Naris of the region by gifting them with souvenirs and suitable aids. A slew of other events were also conducted in the run up to historic day, like motivational and educational tours for the local students and formal interaction between the Ex Servicemen and the army & civil administration. The two day long historical event culminated on 13th April 18.
Rajouri Day is celebrated on 13 April every year as it was on this day that Rajouri was liberated from the rebel intruders who had infiltrated from across the border.
