Jammu, August 4: The young and dynamic business leader from Jammu & Kashmir, Mr. Manik Batra, has been appointed as the International Vice President of the World Buddhist Federation (WBF).
The prestigious appointment recognizes his exemplary leadership, unwavering commitment to humanitarian service, and dedicated efforts towards advancing the Federation’s mission, vision, and core values of peace, compassion, cultural harmony, and global cooperation.
Director of Batra Group, Manik Batra is a prominent entrepreneur and industry leader from Jammu & Kashmir, widely recognized for his contributions to business development, industry advocacy, and entrepreneurship in the region.
He is also holding the positions of Chairman, ASSOCHAM J&K Council, & Regional Director Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) J&K.
He is known for his leadership quality & knowledge about the business & Industry, particularly in Jammu & Kashmir. While representing ASSOCHAM & FADA he has been actively representing industry interests and works closely with government departments, investors, and business stakeholders. He has been reappointed to these positions multiple times, reflecting the confidence reposed in his leadership.
According to an official appointment letter issued by the WBF, Mr. Batra will play a key role in supporting and coordinating the organization’s international activities. His responsibilities will include strengthening collaboration with governments, international organizations, educational institutions, faith communities, and civil society organizations to advance peace, compassion, cultural harmony, humanitarian service, and sustainable development.
As International Vice President, Mr. Batra has also been entrusted with representing the World Buddhist Federation at national and international forums. He will organize and participate in conferences, seminars, humanitarian initiatives, and cultural exchange programmes aimed at fostering global partnerships aligned with the Federation’s objectives.
The Federation expressed confidence that Mr. Batra’s appointment would make a significant contribution to achieving its global mission and further enhancing international cooperation. It also appealed to organizations, institutions, members, and stakeholders to extend their full support and cooperation in the successful discharge of his responsibilities.
The appointment was formally announced by the World Buddhist Federation through an official communication dated July 28, 2026, signed on behalf of the Federation by Ambassador Dr. Parvinder, World Peace Institute – United Nations.
