The incumbent Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Rajiv Mehrishi is most likely choice as next Lt Governor of Jammu and Kashmir .
Mehrishi’s term as CAG is ending 07th August 2020. He has also served as Home Secretary and Finance Secretary.
Present LG of J&K GC Murmu who resigned today will be next CAG.
