Jammu, August 5:
The Lt. Governor of Union Terretory of Jammu and Kashmir Girish Chander Murmu has resigned, according to sources.
He is likely to succeed CAG of India whose term is ending soon.
There are various names going around, to replace Murmu like outgoing CAG Rajiv Mehrishi or the charge may be given to Ladakh LG RK Mathur. There are also reports of J&K Chief Secretary BVR Subramaniam coming in his place.
