The Institute Innovation Council (IIC) of the Central University of Jammu (CUJ) inaugurated a two-day workshop on Innovation, entrepreneurship, and Start-Ups under the patronage of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev Jain, here today. The workshop is being jointly organized by the Central University of Jammu under its Innovation and Start-Up activity; and Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI).

The workshop was inaugurated with the welcome address of Prof. Devanand, President IIC, CUJ followed by the address of Dr. Vinita Sharma and Dr. Ranjeet Kumar Raman, Convener, IIC; and Innovation Activity Coordinator respectively.

Sahil Aggarwal, who is a Businessman, Serial entrepreneur, Motivational Speaker & Social Media Influencer was the keynote speaker on the first day of the workshop.  He made the audience aware of the opportunities and scope that one can explore in a competitive market. He said that good teamwork is pivotal to the success of any entrepreneur while sharing his own experiences. He also emphasized the need to be different by examining the existing gaps rather than jumping into the rat race.  The technical sessions of the workshop were conducted by resource persons namely Vishal Ray and Goutam Saini, faculty JKEDI. Both the resource person conducted workshops for the participating students and scholars of the university. The event was attended by faculty members of various departments, students, and research scholars. The master of ceremony, Dr. Bharti Gupta, Start-up Activity Coordinator, IIC presented a vote of thanks.
