Jammu, January 25: AIIMS Jammu has now expanded its orthopedic services to include total knee replacement surgeries, further enhancing the range of advanced treatments available at the institute. The procedure was successfully performed under the able leadership of Dr. Amit Thakur, Additional Professor, Department of Orthopaedics, AIIMS Jammu, and comprised the faculty members Dr. Raashid Anjum, Associate Professor, Dr. Tarsem Lal Motten, Assistant Professor, Dr. Sabarathinam Ravi, Assistant Professor, AIIMS Jammu. The team treated a patient with bilateral osteoarthritis of the knees through bilateral total knee replacement.
The Anesthesia team, led by Dr. Shruti, Additional Professor, Department of Anesthesia, AIIMS Jammu, provided vital support throughout the surgery, ensuring a smooth and safe procedure for the patient, who is now recovering well with improved mobility.
