J&K Apni Trade Union today opposed the decision of the Power Development Department to force employees to visit every household to click photos of meters in the covid19 pandemic situation.
They have demanded to delay the process for atleast 2 months till the covid19 situation subsides so that the life of employees could not be put to risk, said President, J&K Apni Trade Union, Ajaz Kazmi.
Kazmi was speaking at an important meeting to discuss various issues of employees. In his address, he said, the decision of higher-ups of PDD should be reviewed and the lives of the employees should not be put at risk unnecessarily.
The process can be delayed so that the covid19 situation settles. Otherwise, this may prove dangerous for employees and their families, he said.
During the meeting, J&K Apni Trade Union urged Govt. to regularize the daily wagers, contractual, casual workers, and other daily rated workers.
