Altaf Bukhari demands immediate relief for landslides-hit residents of Mendhar. Sharing a post on X, Apni Party chief, Altaf Bukhari said, “Several remote villages, including Ari, Jabran, and Sarhoti in Mendhar, Poonch, have recently suffered massive landslides and land-sinking incidents, causing severe damage to houses. I have been informed that this environmental disaster, caused by heavy and continuous rainfall during the last week of July, has rendered several families homeless. So far, four houses have been completely destroyed, while six others have suffered extensive damage and have been declared uninhabitable. The affected families are in desperate need of immediate relief, shelter, financial assistance, and rehabilitation. I urge the authorities to depute a team of officials to assess the losses and ensure that the affected people are provided with immediate assistance, followed by adequate compensation. I extend my deepest sympathies to the affected families and stand in solidarity with them during these challenging times.”
