Srinagar, May 20 Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari who was first to flag off concerns of tens of thousands of Kashmiri college students , distressed by location of their exam centres outside J&K, has said thank you to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for his intervention and get the things resolved in favour of students.
Altaf Bukhari was the first to appeal to the Centre and the UT government to look into the problems of the students, who were too poor to travel outside J&K to appear in CUET exams. The number of students ran into tens of thousands and especially it was greatly troublesome for Kashmiri students who could not afford the travel , boarding and lodging costs outside of the Valley.
In a statement on Saturday, after the Government of India intervened and held out promise and notified rectification of the old order, Bukhari expressed his gratitude to the Union Education Minister.
Great news for the students of Jammu and Kashmir. The rescheduling of the CUET(UG) 2023 examination is a welcome step.
