Jammu, August 11: Dr. Ruchi Shah w/o Dr. Rakesh Thusoo and daughter of Suman and Mohan Shah
has bagged most coveted research grant award WISE-PDF under the mentorship of
Prof. Raies A Qadri, Department of Biotechnology, University of Kashmir. It would be
worth to mention that Dr. Ruchi has done her PhD from School of Biotechnology,
SMVDU. The “Women Scientists Scheme-WISE-PDF)” is for research in basic and applied
sciences by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) for providing
opportunities to women scientists. Dr. Ruchi thanked her funding agency DST-Govt. of India, her alma mater SMVDU and University of Kashmir for providing platform and infrastructure to scientists like her where they can excel in the field of STEM. She hoped that women from UT of JK will be the torch bearers of research and will lead the country in realising the dream of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
