In view of forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026 with the first batch of pilgrims starting from Jammu on 2nd July-2026, NO movement of HMVs shall be allowed from Qazigund towards Jammu and from Jakheni (Udhampur) towards Srinagar after 1900 hrs. on 01-07-2026. However, LMVs shall be allowed upto 2300 hrs.
Traffic Movement after Yatra Convoy on 2nd July:
• Up LMVs/private cars/HPSVs shall be allowed to move from Nagrota (Jammu) towards Udhampur once the tail of the Up Yatra convoy crosses Jakheni (Udhampur). (For information regarding cut off timings, Commuters are advised to kindly check the daily advisory of THQ)
• Similarly, DN LMVs/private cars/HPSVs shall be allowed to move from Qazigund towards Jammu once the tail of the down Baltal Yatra convoy crosses Marog. (For information regarding cut off timings, Commuters are advised to kindly check the daily advisory of THQ)
HMV Movement:
• HMVs shall be allowed to ply on alternate days only subject to assessment of the prevailing traffic situation. However, NO HMV shall be allowed to move from Qazigund or Jakheni (Udhampur) after 1900 hrs.
• Load carrier operators transporting fresh, perishables and livestock are advised to load their vehicles accordingly.
• After the cut-off timings, the intra-district movement of local commuters within the Jammu and Kashmir region shall be facilitated only after verification of valid photo identity cards which they must carry with them during the Yatra period .
People are advised to plan their journey accordingly and cooperate with the Traffic Police/Executive Police for the smooth conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
