Union Home Minister Amit Shah  has reiterated with extra emphasis on zero tolerance to terrorism and terrorists on Thursday during the course of  unified headquarters meeting in Srinagar that he chaired on Thursday on the second and the concluding day of his two-day visit of Kashmir.

Amit Shah  who minces no words on his and the Modi Government’s approach in dealing with terrorism  is  reported to have said that there can be no tolerance to the terrorism and terror funding. “ All necessary measures should be taken to check the menace of terrorism ,” he said and asserted that there should be no laxity in drive against terrorism

These comments came during the course  of the meeting in which it was highlighted that how the top leadership of  Jaish-e-Mohammad , the group that was behind the Pulwama terror attack, Hizb-ul-Mujahadeen and  Lashkar-e- Toiba has been eliminated . The security forces have killed more than 120 terrorists this year so far and many others who are hiding are being hunted.

Most of the remaining militants are on the run constantly. The security forces are  after them.

The rule of law should be upheld at all costs, he said. The miscreants should not be spared and necessary action should be taken against them at all costs.

The Home Minister also emphasized that the martyred policemen should be honoured in their home towns and villages . “ This was necessary that we honour them in their home places and let other policemen and their kin know that the nation is with them , will stand by them.”
