A smooth and safe Amarnath Yatra this year holds much bigger significance than previous years. The Yatra passes through Kashmir, and its traditional route is via Pahalgam. This time, the yatra will deliver a message to the people in Kashmir that the nation is with them and that they are not afraid of terrorists whose sources across the border have been decimated.

Home Minister Amit Shah’s ongoing Jammu inspires renewed confidence among people of Jammu and Kashmir. J&K people from Pahalgam to Poonch have gone through terrible times since the terror attack of April 22nd. Amit Shah is here to tell them that the entire nation is with them, and the Central government is committed to bring all-time peace and prosperity for them. Operation Sindoor has laid the fresh foundations to that idea in J&K. The rest of the task will be accomplished sooner than later. That’s the message.
Amit Shah, who had visited Pahalgam within hours after the terror attack to show solidarity with the families of the victims and the people of Kashmir, is back in J&K, telling the people of Poonch that the Central government is with them, to share their pain, and laud their bravery. This journey from Pahalgam to Poonch reflects core of the Government’s commitment to stand by its people in all hours. This is the very essence of Amit Shah’s visit.
They are happy that “Operation Sindoor” avenged the terror attack as the masters and backers of the terrorism in the region and elsewhere in the country have been punished no end. But there are challenges ahead; the upcoming Amarnath Yatra this year is both a religious pilgrimage and national duty. The nation is demonstrating through this pilgrimage, beginning July 3, 2025, that terrorism has been vanquished.
Within days after the attack, the Modi government launched Operation Sindoor , destroying the terror infrastructure and their architects across the border. The Indian armed forces hit at the very source of terrorism in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir. It brought a big relief to the people in J&K.
They are, however, looking for something more, which only Amit Shah, whose ministry looks after J&K affairs, understands. The Home Minister is aware that what Jammu and Kashmir has undergone since April 22nd. While Operation Sindoor that is in a suspension mode at the moment has punished terrorists and their mentors across the border, J&K has suffered few more wounds due to the indiscriminate shelling in villages and towns along the border.
If brutalities in Pahalgam were enacted by Pakistan -backed terrorists, Poonch and other border places on this side of the LoC and International Border were targeted by Pakistan military directly. Pakistan unleashed heavy volume of artillery fire and mortar shelling after it lost its terror assets in Bhawalpur, Murdike and several places in PoK. It went over the edge, killing civilians and shelling places of worship. Poonch, today stands out as a place which faced all the shelling and stood brave in blitzkrieg from across the LoC.
Home Minister is aware of all the pain, and also the bravery of the people of J&K He had visited Pahalgam, in Kashmir within hours of the carnage on April 22nd to be on the side of his people, particularly with the families of the victims. He has assured Kashmir and the victims’ families that the terrorists will not be spared or their backers. The Modi government has delivered on that.
The people are certain, as the voices from Poonch articulated full throttle that they know, Amit Shah always delivers on his word.”
