Jammu, September 06: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday observed that “ Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing a new era of peace and development under the Modi Government ,” in a post on X before leaving for a two-day visit of Jammu where he is scheduled to release BJP’s manifesto for the upcoming Assembly elections .
Amit Shah is the face of abrogation of Article 370 and the change that has occurred in the erstwhile state now divided into two union territories. On August 5, 2019 , Amit Shah had fulfilled the promise , under the Narendra Modi government , that BJP had made it to the people of the nation to remove all barriers between J&K and the rest of the country .
Today, Amit Shah is arriving in Jammu to release party manifesto on Friday and he would be addressing a public rally on Saturday before leaving for Delhi. The two-day visit is of utmost importance for the party and the people of Jammu and Kashmir as many hopes are pinned on what he and manifesto say on the current state of affairs and people’s hope for the statehood .
Amit Shah has maintained all along that the people in Jammu and Kashmir have reposed tremendous faith in the Modi government and they will reward BJP with a clear majority in the forthcoming elections to form the government . He has promised that the BJP government in Jammu and Kashmir will carry forward the vison of Prime Minister Modi for development and peace in the region .
Home Minister , in his post also said that the “ region has transformed from a terrorist hotspot into a tourist hotspot, with an increase in educational and economic activities,” this is his reference to the windfall of tourists, the number of which is now running into tens of millions , something that the Valley people had not imagined even in their best of dreams ,”
Kashmir has seen tourist footfall breaking all – time record. The tourists from the country and abroad were encouraged by peace that dawned in the Valley after the abrogation of Article 370 and pursuit of zero tolerance policy toward terrorism.” It has enriched the economy and infused new confidence among the people.
Amit Shah declared that he is ,” leaving for Jammu on two-day visit , where I will launch the BJP’s Sankalp Patra today and interact with our karyakartas tomorrow in the Karyakarta Sammelan.”
