Srinagar, June 21: Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari while underlining that “ ideological differences should not be allowed to come in way of human rights,”urged the government that jailed separatist leader Shabir Shah be provided with immediate medical facilities.
On X, Altaf Bukhari ,citing media reports stating that Shabir Shah was suffering from prostate cancer and requires immediate surgery, said that the Government should do the needful without any delay.
Here is full text of his post on X,” Ideological differences must never come in the way of basic human rights. The incarcerated separatist leader Shabir Ahmad Shah should be provided with the best possible medical care for his ailment, in a manner that satisfies both him and his family.
Media reports suggest that he is suffering from prostate cancer and requires immediate surgery. I request the Union government to ensure Mr. Shah receives timely and proper medical attention without delay.
