The Indian army chief Gen. M M Naravane has arrived in Ladakh to review operational preparedness of the troops against the backdrop of the fresh concerns after the renewed Chinese aggression at LAC .

Gen. Naravane would be in Ladakh for two days and during his visit he will reviews each and every aspect of the situation that exists at the Line of actual Control and the new challenges that have spring up in the region where Indian and Chinese troops are in a stan-off since early May this year .

The army chief’s visit owe its significance to the recent development after the Chinese attempted to change the LAC on August 29/30 , the attempt that was foiled by the Indian troops by their pre-emptive action .

The Indian army has moved onto a strategically critical height of Finger 4 on the eastern side of the Pangong Tso.
