Jammu , December 23:The Indian Army has instituted its investigations into the reports of killing of three civilians in Bafliaz, Poonch , on Saturday.
The army said while operations are going on in the area where terrorist- initiated incident took place.
It may be recalled that five soldiers were killed in an ambush by terrorists on December 21. Immediately thereafter the army launched operations to trace terrorists and established a contact.
But on Friday evening surfaced reports of three civilian deaths.
On X- formerly Twitter, the army wrote “Terrorist Initiated Incident at Bafliaz in Poonch-Rajouri Sector (21/ 22 Dec 23).
Search operations by the Security Forces are continuing in the area of operations after the incident of 21 Dec 23. Reports have been received regarding three civilian deaths in the area. The matter is under investigation. Indian Army stands committed to extending full support and cooperation in the conduct of investigations.”
