The Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) – One of the oldest apex body of the country assured full support to Jammu Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization for highlighting Investment avenues in J&K.
Mr. Manik Batra, Chairman ASSOCHAM J&K Council today met Ms. Ankita Kar, MD JKTPO and discussed various issues related to trade and Industry of Jammu and Kashmir.
Mr. Batra also informed Ms. Kar that ASSOCHAM being a responsible national chamber is committed to globally promote the products of Jammu and Kashmir and bring investments into J&K.
“J&K has wide range of exclusive and best quality products in different sectors like Handlooms & Handicraft, Agriculture, Horticulture etc. ASSOCHAM will channelize the global market through its wide network of 4.5 Lakh members to promote such products,” said Manik Batra, Chairman ASSOCHAM J&K Council.
“We are working closely with the government departments to lead Jammu and Kashmir towards holistic development,” he added.
Ms. Ankita Kar appreciated the vison of ASSOCHAM for the development of Jammu and Kashmir.
JKTPO and ASSOCHAM will work to strengthen the trade eco-system in various sectors like IT, Education, medical etc. and the organizations like ASSOCHAM can play a vital role in helping us to achieve our goals,” she said.
“J&K has lot of sectors which have lot of scope in future and can play a vital role in the growth of economy of J&K. we welcome investors as well as the buyers from other parts of the world in J&K,” she added.
Opportunities in Start-Up, BPOs, angel investments were also discussed in detail. Chetanya Sharma, Manager Operation JKTPO and Amit Khajuria, Assistant Director, ASSOCHAM J&K Council were also present in the meeting.
