Manik Batra appointed as Chairman J&K Council, Tashi Gyaltson for Ladakh Council

The Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industries of India (ASSOCHAM) – One of the oldest industry body of the country has constituted office bearers of Northern states and Union Territories for the year 2022-23 under the Chairmanship of Amrit Sagar Mittal, Chairman ASSOCHAM Northern Region Development Council (NRDC) and Vice Chair, International Tractors Ltd (Sonalika).

Manik Batra, Director Batra Group of Companies has been appointed as Chairman for ASSOCHAM J&K UT Development Council, whereas, Tashi Gyaltson, Proprietor, Khachu Enterprises has been appointed as Chairman for Ladakh UT Development Council of ASSOCHAM.

While Amrit Sagar Mittal continues to lead the NRDC as the Chair, Dr. S V Goyal, CEO of Reliance Model Economic Township and Kulwin Seehra, Executive Director, GNA Axles have been appointed as Co- Chairs of Northern Region Development Council.

In the Sectoral Northern Region Councils, Vivek Atray, Former Director Industries, Govt. of Haryana has been appointed as Chair for Regional Council on Policy Advocacy Initiatives, Smt. Keerti Hartek Singh, Chairperson, Hartek Foundation has been appointed as Chair of Regional Council for Women Entrepreneurship Simarpreet Singh, Director Hartek Solar has been appointed as Chair and Meena Bisht, DGM, Indus Towers Ltd. has been appointed as Co-Chair of the Regional Council for Power & Renewable energy.

The Chair of the Regional Council for MSME Finance Facilitation will be Jyoti Prakash Gadia, MD, Resurgent India Pvt. Ltd. who will work with industry and BFSI stakeholders for providing smooth financing facilities to the MSMEs, and Raman Angra, Director, Capita Resources will be the Chair of the Regional Labour & Skill Development Council who’s key work plan will be to help governments in northern states and UTs in building a robust skill development eco-system.

Rikant Pitti, Co-Founder & Director of Ease My Trip has been appointed as Chair of the Regional Council for Tourism and Hospitality to work for the severely covid19 hit industry of tourism and hospitality, and Jitender Sodhi, Chair & Director Ayush Herbs has been appointed as Chair of the Regional Council for Health and Wellness.

In State/UT Councils, Simarpreet Singh has been appointed as Chair and Drismeet Singh Buttar, Managing Partner, Healing Hospital & Institute of Paramedical Sciences has been appointed as Co-Chair for Chandigarh UT Development Council, Vijay Sharma, Director, Jindal Stainless has been appointed as Chair, and Jyoti Prakash Gadia and P K Jain, CEO, TCI Global Division & Group CHRO, TCI Ltd. have been appointed as Co- Chairs of Haryana State Development Council.
