Udhampur, April 16: Udhampur police have arrested 15-year old Gujjar teenager Mohammad Kaif on charges of making an attempt to rape a three-year-old minor in the town on Saturday morning .
The police have arrested the accused this morning .
Kaif,, a milk vendor had attempted to rape the little girl , but his nefarious designs were frustrated by the girl’s minor brother who raised an alarm and attracted attention of the passer by. Before he could be caught , he was able to flee from the scene .
The police made efforts to trace him only after the locals held protests against the administration for showing laxity in arresting the boy .
