Administrative Secretary, School Education Department, Biswajit Kumar Singh today visited some schools of Srinagar district and took stock of arrangements made by schools in order to prevent the spread of Covid 19.

Director School Education Kashmir, Mohammad Younis Malik accompanied the Secretary during the tour.

During his visit, B.K.Singh interacted with students and teachers inside the class rooms. BK Singh was satisfied to see that all necessary arrangements have been put in place by school administrations for prevention of the spread of corona virus like provision of hand sanitizers, hand wash facility, social distancing and use of face masks.

B.K.Singh interacted with students of GHSS Kothibagh, SP HSS Srinagar and asked them about their academics. The Secretary and Director School Education Kashmir were pleased to know that students were happy in their classes for which they were eagerly waiting for last one year due to the Covid Pandemic.

BK Singh asked the students about their studies at home, online classes and community classes. Students responded with great satisfaction over the arrangements made by the Directorate of School Education for their Academic support and counseling during the pandemic.

He advised the students to learn by heart and understand the logic of any lesson instead of rote learning and cramming for examinations. On this occasion, Director School Education Kashmir gave an overview of the initiatives taken by DSEK during the Covid pandemic and informed the Secretary about future plans of the Directorate chalked out for the betterment of Education sector in the division.

Additional Secretary Law, School Education department, Javed Ahmad, Chief Education Officer Srinagar Manzoor Ahmad and other officers also accompanied the Secretary during the visit.
