Srinagar, April 05: A heavily armed group of terrorists from across LoC was kept at bay by vigilant army troops and J&K police early Friday morning.
Reports said that the terrorists’ attempt to infiltrate to this side of LoC was foiled . They were kept on the other side of the dividing line .
According to army sources, troops established contact with the infiltrators in the Sabura Nala area during the pre-dawn hours. A firefight ensued, and the operation is ongoing.
Details regarding the number of terrorists involved and any casualties are awaited. “Firing is still ongoing in the area.
This comes amidst heightened vigilance along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Army, along with the J&K Police and intelligence agencies, have been actively working to counter infiltration attempts and maintain peace in the region.
