BJP parliamentary party is holding an important meeting in the parliament premises to defeat opposition’s post-demonetization onslaught on the government in Parliament .
The parliament is not functioning since Wednesday last as the opposition has raised many questions regarding the government decision to scrap Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes since November 8 midnight. The opposition and government have clashed a number of times in both houses of the parliament and that has resulted in repeated adjournments of the two houses.
BJP is trying to overcome this critical situation in the Parliament , even as the opposition is insisting on the changes in the implementation of the demonetization policy and demanding that those killed in queues outside banks should be offered a tribute by the parliament.
Inside reports said that BJP has ben flooded with the feedback that there is a widespread anger against the party after the high value old notes were recalled. The party has tried to improve the situation by announcing a host of measures for the families having weddings and also for farmers who can now buy seeds and fertilizers using old Rs 500 notes, but the overall anger is refusing to subside.
