Election Results: As the counting of votes for the Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections progresses, the situation in both states is becoming clearer. The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is currently leading the contest against the INDIA bloc in Maharashtra. The counting commenced at 8 am with postal ballots.
While the NDA, which is fighting as a team in both states, appears prepared to retain Maharashtra after it took a comfortable lead in the western state. The INDIA bloc has crossed the halfway mark in Jharkhand.
