Srinagar, Nov. 03

The Jammu and Kashmir state board of school education (BOSE) on Thursday announced that syllabus for class 10th and 12th examinations to held in November in Kashmir valley has been reduced by 50 percent.

Talking to media the Chairman of BOSE, Zahoor Ahmad Chatt announced, “The examinations would be held as per schedule.”

Timing of examination has also been changed from 11am to 1 pm.

This comes a day after Kashmir Private Schools Association (KPSA) Wednesday  invoked the  psychological  stress  of students   while pleading with the government to shun  its “ hard stance” of holding examinations this month as that could  drive the children to suicidal tendencies .

There was pressure on government not to hold examinations in November as students have not been able to prepare well in view of unrest in Valley from July 08th this year.
