Jammu, February 22:
A Blood donation camp was organized by Frontier HQ BSF Jammu, in collaboration with Deptt of blood transfusion, Govt Medical College Jammu. This Blood donation camp was inaugurated by Dr Karnail Singh, Commandant (Medical) Frontier HQ BSF Jammu.
During the camp a total of 117 BSF Personnel including Officers & men donated blood to save the precious lives of the patients. Dr Rubina, BTO, SMGS Hospital, Jammu and her team were present during this Blood donation camp.
On this occasion during inauguration speech Dr Karnail Singh, Commandant (Medical) emphasized that blood donation is most noble cause and significant contribution that a person can make towards the society. It is not harmful for an adult person to donate blood and a human body recoup the plasma which is a component of blood within 24 hours and RBCs after a period of 04 to 06 weeks.
