Jammu, June 4, 2025 : In a step towards improving mobile connectivity, BSNL’s Director (Cellular Mobile) Sandeep Govil visited Jammu on June 4 to assess the quality of the company’s 4G services and understand the problems faced by users.

During his visit, Govil personally conducted a drive test across Jammu city and surrounding areas. The test focused on checking signal coverage, call clarity, internet speed, and overall availability of services.

He later held a high-level meeting with officials from BSNL and TCS. Among those present were Chief General Manager V. K. Surendra, Principal GM (Mobile) Kush Kumar, and other key members including Harshad Gaonkar, Dhruv Sharma, and Vivek Khajuria. The team discussed key concerns such as poor network reach, slow data speed, and call drops.

Taking serious note of these issues, Govil issued clear directions for immediate action. These include the identification of weak network zones, installation of more 4G towers, regular field inspections, and faster response to customer complaints.

He also announced that a detailed technical study would be carried out based on the drive test results. The goal is to create a strong and effective plan to enhance BSNL’s 4G services in the Jammu region.

With these efforts, BSNL aims to deliver faster, more reliable, and better-quality mobile services to its users in Jammu and nearby areas.
