Jammu: The NSS Unit 5 of Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), University of Jammu, in collaboration with Young Blood Association (YBA), successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp, reaffirming its commitment to humanitarian service and social responsibility. Prof. Pankaj K. Srivastava, Director, CDOE, University of Jammu, welcomed the Chief Guest, dignitaries, volunteers, faculty members, staff, and blood donors. In his inaugural address, he highlighted the significance of voluntary blood donation and emphasized that such initiatives nurture compassion, social responsibility, and community engagement among students and society.
Ms.Neha Jalali Director Press information Bureau (PIB), who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, appreciated the voluntary blood donors for their selfless contribution and commended the collaborative efforts of CDOE and the Young Blood Association in organizing this humanitarian initiative. Dr. Satwant Singh Rissam, President, Young Blood Association, appreciated the overwhelming response to the camp and remarked that blood donation is one of the noblest acts of public service, capable of saving countless lives.
Sh. Anil Padha, Chairman, Young Blood Association, shared his views on the importance of blood donation as a noble humanitarian cause and appreciated the wholehearted support extended by all stakeholders. Dr. Rajbeer Singh Sodhi, Programme Officer, NSS Unit–5, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all blood donors, volunteers, faculty members, officers, non teaching staff, organizers, and the medical team for making the camp a grand success. He noted that every unit of donated blood has the potential to save precious lives and inspire others to serve humanity.
