Srinagar, 27, April 2026: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party Additional General Secretary and Member of Parliament, Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan has hailed the judgment of the Hon’ble High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh quashing the detention of Mehraj Malik under the Public Safety Act.
He stated that the decision reaffirms the supremacy of the rule of law and the fundamental rights guaranteed under the Constitution and underscores that preventive detention laws must be applied with due care and within established legal parameters.
He added that the judgment strengthens faith in democratic institutions and highlights the importance of adherence to constitutional principles.
