Chairman JKPCC Pahari Cell Nisar Ahmed, IPS Former Inspector General of Police has submitted his resignation to the President JKPCC citing personal reasons. He however, expressed that he would continue to work for the social causes and betterment of the society including the wellfare and development of Pahari Community which has always been ignored by the successive State and Central governments. He advocated for the grant of ST status to the Pahari Community as early as possible.
