On 12/07/2018 one women Harpreet Kour (name changed) lodged a written report in Police Station Chasana of Sub Division Mahore, that S Harjit Singh S/O S Ranjeet Singh R/O Gota lured her for marriage and subsequently repeatedly raped her several times & she also became pregnant twice. Both the times he persuaded her for abortion.
On this case FIR no 27/2018 U/S 376, 313, 420, 506 RPC was registered at Police Station Chasana and investigations initiated.
During the course of investigations, medical opinion regarding the offense against the victim was sought, statement of the victim and her mother were recorded under section 164 A of the Code of Criminal Procedure by the the Judicial magistrate, statements of other relevant witnesses were also recorded under section 161 CrPC. Other circumstantial evidences required in the investigation for coming to conclusive opinion were also collected in the case. On the basis of evidences, allegations in the case are proved against the accused.
On the basis of evidences collected and compliance of legal procedures, the case is proved and Final Report is produced in the court of law after taking the accused in police custody for judicial determination.
Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi Sh Shailender Singh told that Police is committed for foolproof investigation in all cases which is prerequisite to provide justice to the victims.
