Udhampur April 16, 2023: In order to augment the infrastructural facilities in the court complex, Chief Justice, High Court of Jammu and Kashmir & Ladakh, Justice N. Kotiswar Singh along with his wife Dr Vijay Lakshmi today laid foundation stone of new Court Complex building and residential quarters at Majalta here.

The foundation stone was laid by the Chief Justice High Court of Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh, Justice N. Kotiswar Singh along with Dr Vijay Lakshami in presence of Justice Ms Sindhu Sharma , Judge, High Court of Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh and Administrative Judge District Udhampur , besides Registrar General High court of J&K ,Shahjad Azeem Principal Secretary to Chief Justice , M.K Sharma ,Registrar Vigilance High Court of J&K , Y.P Bourney , Secretary High court Legal Services Prem Sagar ,Joint Registrar Protocol ,Parveen Pandoh ,Principal District & Session Judge Udhampur ,Haq Nawaz Zargar , Deputy Commissioner Udhampur , Krittika Jyotsna , Additional District development Commissioner , Gansham Singh ,ADC Joginder Singh Jasrotia ,SSP Udhampur , Dr. Vinod Kumar , IPS , SE R&B Udhamur , Additional Session Judge Udhamur Dinesh Gupta , CJM Udhampur , Manoj Parihar , Sub Judge Special Mobile Magistrate , Sallaudin Ahmed , Munsiff Majalta Madhu Sharama judicial officers of subordinate judiciary , President Bar Association Udhampur & Majalta, Sarpnach , panches and Councilors of Majalta , President udhampur and Bar Association Majalta, other district officers. Chief justice along with her wife and justice Sindhu Sharma and othe dignitaries also planted trees at court complex .

During his address Chief Justice N. Kotiswar Singh expressed happiness on the occasion of foundation stone laying ceremony of the Munsiff Court, Complex Majalta and shared his experience of visiting various Courts in UT of J&k .

He expressed hope that the upcoming court complex will not only improve the standard of Justice delivery system but would also enable the justice seekers to seek justice and cherish the same. He added it will also help the bar to do their job properly and also congratulated people of the area and stakeholders.

The Chief Justice acknowledged and lauded the service of three land donors of Majalta who had donated land free of cost for the construction of court complex .He also appreciated the efforts of district administration and other stake holders with regard to the identification of land for the construction of Munsiff Court and also congratulated the people of Majalta and its adjoining areas.

Administrative Judge for District Udhampur , Justice Sindhu Sharma in her address appreciated the efforts and endeavour of chief Justice with regard to the steps being taken for development of justice delivery system and said that the proper infrastructure is important for Justice delivery system. She expressed hope that the upcoming court complex will not only improve the standard of Justice delivery system but would also enable the justice seekers to seek justice and cherish the same. He added it will also help the bar to do their job properly and also congratulated people of the area and stakeholders.

Principal and District Session Judge Udhampur Haq Nawaz Zargar delivered the welcome address and welcomed the dignitaries and guests attending the program He informed the gathering that the proposed construction would be having all required infrastructure for the court to function and the total land comprises 10.10 kanals and estimated cost of the project will be 14 crore.

Additional Session Judge Udhampur Dinesh Gupta presenting vote of thanks thanked all the concerned departments and stakeholders for the successful event of foundation laying ceremony. He extended gratitude to Chief Justice High Court of Jammu Kashmir and Kashmir, and other Judges for attending the event.
