An urgent meeting of all Cluster Officials-Registrar, Controller Examination, Principals and Deans of Constituent Colleges and PGI Schools of Cluster University of Jammu was held in the office of the Vice Chancellor , Prof.Anju Bhasin to discuss the future course of action with regard to the conduct of terminal examination of Sixth Semester (UG/UG Hons/PGI)and 4th Semester PG/ B.Ed/ M.Ed Programmes scheduled to be held in July 2020. Prof.Anju Bhasin expressed her grave concern on the massive spread of Covid -19 and sought wisdom from the house on the issue. Keeping in view, the rapid spread of Covid -19 pandemic, and the Advisory of Disaster Management, the house deliberated that in the prevailing critical situation, it is not possible to conduct examination and risk the lives of the young learners.The forum decided that all terminal examination of Sixth Semester-UG/UG Hons./PGI and 4th Sem PG/ B.Ed/ M.Ed Programmes commencing from July 2020 be deferred and a notification of the same is made evident on the university website.Any further decision in this regard shall be taken after review of the situation in the interest of the student community and also in sync with the guidelines received from the UGC which shall be notified on the university website.Till then, students are advised to stay home and safe ; also adhere to the social distancing norms and visit the website regularly for any further update.The meeting was attended by Dr Jatinder Khajuria Registrar, Dr Mushtaq Lone, Controller Examination, Principals of Constituent Colleges- Prof Kaushal Smotra(GGM), Prof Ravinder Tickoo(GCW) Prof GS Rakhwal (MAM) Dr Ranjeet Jamwal (SPMR) and Dr Sangeeta Nagari (GCOE)and Deans of Faculties- Dr Geetanjali Rana, (Arts) Dr Twinkle Suri ( Students Welfare), Dr Sanjay Verma( Sciences) and Dr Sindhu Kapoor(Social -Sciences).
