India’s Covid-19 tally reached 47,54,356 with 94,372 new cases in 24 hours. The total number of recoveries now stands at 37,02,595 with 77.77 per cent recovery rate, and the death toll stands at 78,586. On the vaccine front, COVAXIN has shown protective efficacy in monkeys. Meanwhile, AstraZeneca resumed its trials on the Oxford vaccine, and Serum Institute of India said it is awaiting the DCGI’s nod on resuming vaccine trials in India.
