Doda, February 14: Moving from the traditional way of reviewing the developmental works by calling officers in the meeting hall, deputy commissioner Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan makes officers to remain present on ground to see the actual development happening.

The field functionaries including assistant and junior engineers were made to give online feedback from the spots where the works are being undertaken while DC was watching from his office with heads of the departments.

During the meeting, the DC inspected JJM, road, building, MGNREGA, JPDCL, and other developmental works ongoing across the district and applauded and complimented the best quality works, reprimanded some ongoing works, and issued instructions for rectification on some of the works as per the approved detailed project reports (DPR).

He complimented SE JKPDCL for more than 89% expenditure and for the completion of more than 90% of works and has asked other departments to learn from their counterparts in JPDCL.

The ADDC, while interacting with the field officers, asked executing departments to send the details of those works not feasible or executable during the current financial year by tomorrow, or it will be presumed that all works are feasible and be completed by 31st of March this year.

Showing displeasure over pendency on financial progress, the departments involved were asked to send the expenditure bills of all completed works to the treasury/ concerned DDO by Saturday this week to avoid disciplinary action.

The DC also reviewed the physical and financial progress of works approved under the regular annual District Capex Budget, Area Development Plan (ADP), JJM, MGNREGA, and other developmental schemes.

The DC directed the SEs, ACD and XENs to closely supervise the progress of ongoing works both physically and financially at all the levels and submit the daily progress report to his office by 5pm regularly.

The Superintending Engineers of PWD, JSD, and JPDCL and ACD Doda also interacted with the field functionaries and instructed them to stick to the timeline, ensure quality work and book the expenditure on all the completed work across the district by Saturday this week.
