Doda, April 24; Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Mahajan along with District heads of Agriculture and alied departments launched Kisan Sampark Abhiyan from DC office today.
Kisan Sampark Abhiyan is a prestigious programme of the Agriculture Production Department, aimed at the overall welfare of farmers across the Union Territory
The District Administration Doda has planned out holding awareness and handholding camps by all the Agro and allied departments in all the 237 panchayats across the district.
The visiting team of experts shall stay in each Panchayat for three days to educate farmers on various issues, including business management, entrepreneurship, and government schemes.
Kisan Sampark Abhiyan will include question and answer sessions for the farmers and awareness of the farmers about 18 centrally sponsored schemes that have been designed for their welfare and development of the farming community.
DC has asked the concerned to reach out to farmers even in the remotest corners of the district, motivate them to use advanced seeds, technology and tools, and composite farming for the holistic development of the farmers and agriculture sector in the district.
