Situation in Nowshera became tense today after Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary also injured in the clashes.
Dr Choudhary, who was talking to protestors at Patel Chowk was injured after a bottle hit his head. Some youth were constantly pelting stones. The bottle hit the helmet officer was wearing. The leaders of agitation expressed regret over such stone pelting.
A total of 14 persons including 4 policemen have sustained minor injuries in the violent clash between police and agitators at Nowshera today.
Now talks are on between Joint Action Committee and District Adm lead DC, SSP, ADC.
